Welcome to our website.

This should provide you with information about our school and give you a flavour of what we have to offer.

We are a thriving, oversubscribed, school which prides itself on its very high level of inclusion and a very positive and caring atmosphere for learning.

We have excellent staff and facilities and we always strive to build upon this. We believe in taking every opportunity of consulting with the children and involving yourselves to see what would best benefit the children and their education.

We were delighted that following our most recent Ofsted inspection, February 2011, we have been recognised as a Good school with Outstanding in: Behaviour, Safety, Care Guidance and Support, Safeguarding Procedures and Attendance.

This tells you that every child really does matter at Pound Hill Juniors. We help to create such wonderful, mature and sensible young people whose behaviour is excellent.

Along with Maidenbower Junior we were the first two schools in the north of the county to achieve Level 3, the highest accolade there is. This is in recognition of our high quality travel plan and the work carried out by our Eco Council in creating a DVD, promoting the use of alternative forms of transport. We will shortly be releasing a DVD for use by Southern Rail and schools across the county.  It has been recognised that our school uses public transport more than any other in the County.  Not only does it help the environment, set the children a good example, it is cheaper for our families.
